Volunteer With Us

We are always looking for dedicated, adaptable and  responsible volunteers who have a passion for helping others! Volunteers serve through events, outreach, and services in our center.

Donate Items

    • Canned goods

    • Pasta, rice, and beans

    • Produce such as apples and oranges

    • Ready to eat meals, frozen meals, meal kits, and microwave meals

    • Packaged single-serve for children of all ages

    • Soups and chili

    • Culturally appropriate dry or canned foods

    • Can openers

    • Protein shakes and those specialized for diabetes, children, and older adults

    • Any food or snacks for specialized dietary needs (dye-free, gluten/wheat-free, nut-free, milk/lactose-free, sugar-free, pork-free, egg-free, soy-free, sesame-free, fish/shellfish-free, Kosher, Halal, Vegetarian/Vegan)

    • Coffee pods and tea, creamer

    • All gender clothing in all sizes (0/XS-24/6XL+)

    • Warm clothes (hats, scarfs, gloves, coats)

    • Comfortable clothing (sweats, sweatshirts, sweatpants) in all sizes

    • New bras and underwear in all genders and sizes, particularly large sizes

    • Baby and toddler clothing

    • Diapers (particularly sizes 3-6 to T)

    • Hygiene supplies (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, razors, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes)

    • New home goods for families (sheets, blankets, towels)s

    • Gift Cards to multi-stores such as Fred Meyer and Walmart, where families can choose their own items.

    • Used cell phone, regardless of make or model can be turned into Safe Phones. Phone must be wiped, factory reset, in working condition, and unlocked.

    • Used laptops with charger will be turned into Safe Computers for survivors to use in our Community Center. Computers must be wiped, factory reset, in working condition, and unlocked.

  • To donate items, please call the center or email Development@fjcwc.org to arrange for a drop off time at our Business Entrance.

    All food items must be new, unopened, and unexpired.

    All home goods, hygiene items, baby supplies, bras, and underwear must be new and unopened.

    All clothing and shoes must be in good condition without holes, stains, pet hair, or strong odors.

    What we offer survivors in our Community Center communicates what we think and feel about them. The Family Peace Center will show our survivors respect and dignity through what we offer.

    If you have items to donate that don’t fit the parameters, that’s ok! We also have a fabric recycling bin on site that raises funds with every pound of material donated.
